Should not be consumed by pregnant or breastfeeding women and children under 18 years of age. Should not be consumed on an empty stomach. Pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with diabetes, and individuals with liver or heart conditions should refrain from consuming food supplements containing berberine, due to the undesirable side effects they might encounter. In the absence of specific data, this recommendation also applies to children and adolescents.
